Christian Blaze (Co-Founder, Director, Editor)

Christian Blaze founded Crystal Insight New Media Inc alongside Crystal-Dawn Rosales in 2001. Christian Blaze spent most of his childhood studying computers & electronics, creating his first software program at the age of 7 and selling his first program commercially at the age of 14.

In 1999, he arrived in Vancouver BC Canada, and started his venture into film by screenwriting, editing, animating & co-producing several short independent projects alongside his wife and partner Crystal-Dawn Rosales, including Spank (the couple's 2003 directorial debut). The film went on to premiere at the 2003 Santa Fe Film Festival, NM, USA, and received positive audience reactions and comments. "Spank" was the only short film accepted into the Festival de Cine Internacional de El Salvador 2004, held annually in Cinemark theaters across the country of El Salvador. "Spank" was honored to screen at the Canadian Embassy in El Salvador for a private audience which included the Canadian Ambassador to El Salvador, the country's officials and other special guests.

In October 2004, Christian and Crystal produced their first feature film, a sci-fi thriller entitled Alien Agenda: Project Grey (2007). In fall of 2007 the film acquired DVD distribution in Japan, Russia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam & in spring of 2009 it screened at the 13th annual Ottawa Latin American Film Festival. The film was later re-released in 2011 at the 6th annual Int. Sc-Fi & Fantasy Film Fest in Athens, Greece. In 2011 their first Stereoscopic 3D short film was released, a comedy entitled Defending Maldito 3D (2010), shot in May of 2010.

Crystal-Dawn Rosales (Co-Founder, Producer, Designer)

Crystal-Dawn Rosales was born in Surrey BC, Canada, spending most of her childhood immersed in the arts, theater, piano and dance. In 1997 she graduated from the Langley Fine Arts School with honors (major in Theatre), having performed in the school's musical theatre troupe all over the lower mainland & twice at the BC Festival of the Arts.

In 2001, Crystal worked as a producer's assistant on a CBC short entitled "Fish out of Water", and fell in love with the other side of the lens. She met her husband & creative partner Christian Blaze while working on a student film. In 2003, they released their debut short film, a sci-fi/drama entitled "SPANK", which premiered at the 03 Santa Fe Film Festival and went on to screen at over 30 other film festivals in North America. In 2005, "SPANK" was purchased by the CBC and aired across Canada on the late-night television show ZeD TV.

In 2007, Christian & Crystal released their first feature film, a sci-fi thriller entitled "Alien Agenda : Project Grey" which is currently in distribution around the world on DVD & TV. In 2009 "Project Grey" was aired via VOD in over 200+ cities in the USA. The film was also chosen to open the annual Ottawa Latin American Film Festival in March, 2009 and the newly edited "Project Grey: Directors Cut" will debut at the 2010 Australian Latin American Film Festival in Melbourne.

Mark Stewart (Assistant Producer, Writer)

Mark Stewart has been an assistant producer at Crystal Insight since 2005 when he assisted in the production of the feature film "Alien Agenda : Project Grey", but has know CnC for many years prior. He met Christian when they were both enrolled in acting classes at Gastown Acting Studio back in 2000.

Mark has many years of experience in the film industry doing a variety of jobs, and is an indispensable asset to Crystal Insight, problem solving and getting his hands dirty as our right-hand man.  He is also an actor, and has made apperances in many of Crystal Insight's productions, including co-starring in the stereoscopic short film "Defending Maldito", in addition to producing his own 2 shorts with CnC, "Bread Brothers" and "Till Death".  

He can be found most days either climbing the Grouse Grind, having a coffee at Delany's, or eating breakfast at Bon's off Broadway.  Waasssssspppp!

Brenda Corbett (Producer's Assistant)

Brenda has a bachelor of business administration and a diploma of marketing management specialization in entrepreneurship from BCIT. Brenda helps in the day to day running of Crystal Insight.  She is also an actress, earning her diploma of professional acting from New Image in Vancouver, and has made apperances in Crystal Insight film projects, including the feature film "Alien Agenda: Project Grey" and the stereoscopic 3D short film "Defending Maldito".  

Her unique training in acting, business, and marketing, is of great value to Crystal Insight, helping provide valuable insight and advice on how to run a business in the media & entertainment field. When she is not frantically submitting on W.A.B, or tweeting our latest news, she is a proud new mother to a beautifull baby boy and new bride, and looks forward to another year with our team!

Luis Mario Magaña (Composer, Original Score)

Luis Mario Magaña has been studying music with exceptional teachers from a young age.  He studied at the National Center of Arts (“Centro National de Artes” - CENAR) in San Salvador under Wilfrido Barraza (Paris Conservatory) with whom he studied piano for more than 10 years as well as advanced studies in musical theories and composition.
 
He received a scholarship to study at the University of Costa Rica, to learn to train music teachers. The scholarship was a joint venture between the government of El Salvador and the government of Costa Rica. From a young age, Luis Mario, has taught piano, solfeggio, and music theory at the National Center of Arts. Luis Mario has more than 10 years of experience producing music at a local and international level.  He has worked as a composer and mixer and has had his work executed by orchestral symphonies in El Salvador, Guatemala and Costa Rica.  In 2004, he directed and composed the “Concert for Peace” in Antigua Guatemala with members of the National Symphony and the singers Magdalena Arimany and Pierre Gutierrez. 
 
Luis Mario has worked on commercials for Radio and TV for many of the producers, studios and publicity agencies in San Salvador.Currently, he is composing for short and feature length films. He is an expert in the use of programs such as Digital Performer, Logic, Protools and has extensive experience working with MIDI, VSTi and more. He collaberated with Crystal Insight on several productions, including composing the orginal score for "Alien Agenda: Project Grey" & "Defending Maldito" and the music for the Meridian Medical BTS medical video.  He currently resides in San Salvador, El Salvador, Central America and communicates with us via the internet & Skype.
 

Humberto Macgregor (Sound Design, Boom Op)

Humberto MacGregor graduated from Vancouver Film School in 2009, where he learned how to capture and design sound for TV, video and film productions.  He currently is enrolled in the Art Institute of Vancouver for advanced sound design and will graduate in 2012.  

He has experience using pro-tools and a variety of other sound editing/design programs, in addition to on-set sound recording, ADR and studio mixing.  He can be found working late from his in-home sound studio, attending Video Games Live, or riching around town.

In 2010, He worked on re-designing and mixing the film "Alien Agenda : Project Grey" as well as the Stereoscopic 3D short film "Defending Maldito".  He is known as "Melbu Frama" in the industry.

Lynette Montagano (Bookkeper, Office Manager)

Lynette has formally worked with Crystal Insight since 2007.  She makes sure every receipt and invoice is filed and sorted the way it should be, or she will unleash her wrath on us!

She has experience in managing the books for several small businesses, however, she loves it when we bring her shoeboxes full of receipts and can be easily bribed with a good bottle of Cab Sav.  She helps us with networking and managing the back-end of our busy business. We love her dearly! 

Yessenia Saca de Gamez (Producer's Assistant - El Salvador)

Yessenia is our Producer's Assistant in El Salvador, Central America. She helps with PR, marketing, scheduling and logistics while Crystal Insight is shooting on-location in the country. Yessenia helped CnC in 2007 while they were scouting for filming the feature film "Through the Eye of the Needle", and booked a press tour of local TV & radio programs for Christian & Crystal to appear on. While she is not working with Crystal Insight, she is a proud mother and wife, living in El Salvador.
